Ladurée has joined forces with one of England’s most renowned museums, the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A). Together, they pay tribute to Marie-Antoinette, the French queen who became a global icon of fashion, elegance and art de vivre.
Between heritage and indulgence
A box in tribute to Marie-Antoinette
Drawn from the rich archives of the V&A, the box design was inspired by 18th-century French fabric samples. An exquisite striped silk, embroidered with flowers, adorns the lid of the box, while its base is wrapped in a pattern of flowaring tree motifs that feels surprisingly modern.
Inside, one finds Marie-Antoinette's personal monogram alongside her portrait by Jean-Francois Janinet, after the original painting by Gautier d'Agoty.
