Candied fruit and sugared almonds

It depends who it's for. The "16 Royale" or "75 Champs Élysées" boxes are generous, classic choices for most occasions. For something lighter, chocolate pearls or orangettes tend to feel more personal.
A ballotin is traditionally a soft pouch or box holding a loose assortment of chocolates. A gift box arranges them more formally, usually in their own compartments.
As with any fine chocolate, it's best stored at room temperature, away from heat and light, and enjoyed within a few weeks for the flavours to still feel fresh.
